More Information

Logos Consists of a governing board, a science advisory panel, research associates and ambassadors. Research programs require qualified scientists, long-term sponsors who understand the strategic importance of scientific research, and public speakers (ambassadors) who make the research accessible to the public. Neither board members, nor members of the science advisory panel, nor research associates, nor ambassadors receive a salary. In a very real sense they are all missionaries: to the universities, to the intellectual world, and to our youth.

B.S. (Horticulture), M.S. (Plant Breeding/Genetics), Ph.D. (Plant Breeding/Genetics)
Geneticist, President and Senior Research Associate

As a Cornell University professor for over 25 years, John conducted plant genetics research that resulted in new crop varieties, more than 80 scientific publications, and 30 patents. A large fraction of the transgenic crops grown in the world today utilize the biolistic “gene gun” process of which John was the primary inventor. John feels his most significant contribution to science was his leadership in the development of Mendel’s Accountant, the world’s first biologically realistic genetic accounting program. Second in significance to this was his authoring of the book, Genetic Entropy and the Mystery of the Genome. John continues to hold the position of Courtesy Associate Professor at Cornell. (more…)

B.S. (Electrical Engineering), M.S. (Electrical Engineering), M.S. (Geophysics and Space Physics), Ph.D. (Geophysics and Space Physics)

Geophysicist, Vice-President and Senior Research Associate

John earned a doctorate in geophysics for the express purpose of addressing the tectonics issues of the Genesis Flood at a professional level.  For his Ph.D. thesis he developed a 3D mantle dynamics program known as Terra.  As research scientist for 20  years at Los Alamos National Laboratory he used computer modeling to explore and develop the concept of catastrophic plate tectonics as a primary mechanism behind the Flood.  Also while at Los Alamos, John assisted the German Weather Service in applying modeling techniques used with Terra to the task of developing their next-generation global weather forecast model.  This model, named GME, became the German operational global forecast model in 2000, and is currently used in more than 20 countries.  John further applied his expertise in numerical methods in the development of Mendel’s Accountant, a population genetics program for modeling mutation and selection.  Current research includes the refinement of Terra to accommodate much stronger  variations in rock strength and thereby achieve greater fidelity in modeling the runaway aspects of the Flood cataclysm.

John Baumgardner is currently assisting in the process of refining the scientific aspects for a major motion picture to be called, “The Flood”. (more…)

Professor Andrew Charles McIntosh holds an emeritus chair in Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory in Energy and Resources Research Institute at the University of Leeds, England, where he has lectured and researched in the field of Combustion and Explosions for over 20 years.  His research has included investigations involving fluids (the interaction of pressure waves with flames) as well as solids.  In the area of heterogeneous combustion he is interested in the safety of reactive substances, which can include traditional fuels such as coal, but also may include agrochemicals, some of which are now being used widely to increase crop yields, but in bulk can have unusual ignition properties.  Unusual chemical behavior is also being studied in collaboration with industry, with a view to developing carbon capture reactors for energy generation.

In the last few years Professor McIntosh has been involved in research in the area of biomimetics where the minute combusion chamber of the bombardier beetle has inspired a patented novel spray technology.  This led to research first sponsored by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), followed by extensive funding from industry to apply the technology to fuel injectors, pharmaceutical sprays, aerosols, and fire extinguishers.  Professor McIntosh is a trained mathematician and has worked in aerodynamics at Cranfield University and the Royal Aircraft  Establishment (Bedford) before going to Leeds where he gained a DSc in 1998 and a personal chair in 2000.  He became a Fellow of the Institute of Physics in 2002 and in 2003 was elected a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.  He has over 180 publication in Journals and Conferences and has lectured widely internationally on these subjects and on the scientific question of origins on which the discipline  of thermodynamics has a fundamental bearing.
