SUMMARY:Grand Canyon Folds by Dr. Andrew Snelling
DESCRIPTION:The Cambrian Tapeats Sandstone is at the base of the Paleozoic sedimentary strata sequence in Grand Canyon\, deposited in conventional terms 507-508 million years ago. The whole strata sequence was uplifted 450 million years later to form the Kaibab Plateau\, by which time the Tapeats Sandstone and overlying layers were apparently fully cemented. Yet the brittle cemented sandstone and the overlying layers were bent smoothly in folds without shattering. This research examined samples taken from the folds and from distant outcrops for comparison and examination by microscopes has demonstrated this sandstone layer shows not pressure and heat of burial effects but had to be uncemented\, damp and soft when the folding happened soon after deposition. This is only consistent with the Genesis Flood\, the folding occurring late in the Flood only months after the sandstone was deposited and the cementing of the sand then occurred after the folding\, and thus the 450 million years never happened. \nRegister NOW to join Logos Research Associates LIVE on Wednesday May 13\, 2026\, at 9pm EDT!
