Biography

Brittany Martin has both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geology, with an emphasis in mineralogy. Her undergraduate was from University of Idaho, 2001, and her M.S. was from San Jose State University, 2019. Her undergraduate studies involved minerals and human health, as especially related to asbestos. Her graduate studies involved a study of the relationship between serpentine to clay alteration and aseismic fault movement. She has been involved in Christian education for almost 25 years, and is one of the founders of St. Abraham’s Classical Christian Academy in Santa Cruz County, California. The Academy’s website is StAbrahams.com.

Brittany Martin was raised in a Christian home where she grew up regularly getting materials from the Institute for Creation Research for Christmas and birthdays. Her family was also descended from Northern Idaho silver miners, so geology enabled her to combine her love of science with her love for the Creator. She have lived in Santa Cruz County, California for almost 25 years, where she is a pastor’s wife and mother of four.
