As part scientist and part educator, Dr. Joel Brown’s professional career has navigated the border between science education and scientific research. After completing his PhD at Cornell University studying early brain development, Dr. Brown continued his research with a brief postdoctoral position at Washington University School of Medicine studying spinal cord regeneration. After the postdoc, he went into science education, managing and teaching at a 100-acre nature area in the greater St. Louis area. It was during this time that the Lord opened the door for him to become the director of the Creation Research Society, based out of Phoenix, AZ. View the Creation Research Society website here.
Dr. Brown is married to his beautiful wife, Erin, and blessed with eight children. He loves spending time with his family out in God’s creation camping, hiking, and birding.
