John Swan
LogosRA Director of ETMP, BS Electrical/Computer Engineering with High Honors, IEEE Senior Life Member

John is a retired engineer with long history of a passion for the creation movement starting from the 1st Wave of creationism with Henry Morris and Duane Gish. His career was in semiconductor design with later focus on the methodology and technology of the design process. Understanding the complexity of designing ICs with billions of transistors is an engineer’s tribute to the way more complex engineering behind living systems.

John was awarded several leadership awards in the 2010’s as Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Chapter of Silicon Valley. Then as Vice Chair of the Silicon Valley section founded a unique industry partnership program leading to additional awards and an in-person visit by the entire IEEE BoD. (IEEE is the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, widely recognized as the world’s largest technical professional organization.)

In retirement John is dedicated to the creation movement with the passion to involve engineering types in the movement for the 2nd Wave of creationism. He envisioned providing a support structure for that vision which is embodied in the LogosRA’s ETMP.
